Hello, I’m a dramaturge, editor, and writer currently based in Milwaukee, WI.

I received my BFA in Theatre from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2016, where I discovered the discipline of and my passion for dramaturgy. I was fortunate enough to serve as a dramaturge both at the university and in the Milwaukee theatre community during my undergraduate career, allowing me to develop my dramaturgical practice.

From 2013-2016, I served as an Artistic Associate at The World’s Stage Theatre Company in Milwaukee. I acted as a dramaturge and assistant director in various productions throughout my tenure with the company. Meanwhile, I served in a management capacity, aiding season planning, budgeting, marketing, and other production duties.

In 2017 I was accepted as an MA student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee by the English department. I pursued the Literature and Cultural Theory plan where my focus of study was Early Modern Drama. Graduate school gave me the tools to explore dramaturgy on a deeper theoretical level while exploring different medias and mediums, including film. I received my MA in May of 2019.

I practice dramaturgy, editing, and writing in the greater Milwaukee/Chicago area. I am dedicated to responsible, specific, and collaborative dramaturgical practice and believe that having a strong theoretical base integral to effective practice.

All my best,

Erika
